After a drive of just 12 minutes, you will reach our fabulous Playa Las Lajas from your accommodation in the countryside. The 14 kilometer long sandy beach is one of the longest continuous beaches in Central America and offers you on many days an exhilarating wave bath in the warm Pacific. It is not unusual to have the feeling that you are the only vacationers in Panama, because at times the beach is deserted and belongs only you. One of the most special thing about this beach is that you can enjoy the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, something you can only witness on only a few beaches in the world. Pelicans, parrots, iguanas and even turtles are often seen here and so a chilly day at the beach sometimes turns into a real nature experience. Take a long walk on this beach, ride the waves on a bodyboard or just relax in the sun.

2. Jardin Botanico Las Lajas Adentro:
In the Lajas Adentro Botanical Garden, visitors can observe different species of tropical plants from all over Central America and a wide variety of butterflies. The heart of this garden is a huge pond with aquatic plants and gorgeous native flowers. A beautiful botanical garden with landscaped paths, benches to rest and accessible paths also for people with reduced mobility invite you to linger and dream. 3. La Isleta (about 20 minutes by car from Las Lajas):

4. El Nancito (about 20 minutes by car from Las Lajas):
If you are traveling to Panama, you should definitely visit El Nancito in our beautiful Chiriquí region. Here there is an exciting archaeological park - "the Petroglifo El Nancito", where you can take a walk through the archaeological findings of this region. Here you will learn about the indigenous people of Central America and you can enjoy spectacular views of the breathtaking landscape, coastline, islands and open sea. It is the largest park in eastern Chiriquí, where you will find interesting and representative petroglyphs from Panama's past, located about 200 meters above sea level and scattered throughout the area on volcanic rock.

6. Boat tours in the Marina National Park Chiriquí (about 1 hour by car from Las Lajas):
In total, Marina National Park Chiriquí includes 25 islands and 19 beautiful coral reefs. Here you will also encounter trophic palms and gorgeous beaches. Howler monkeys, tiger herons, green iguanas and many other animal species are at home on the islands. The turquoise waters surrounding the islands are home to intact reefs and a variety of fish. Perfect places for snorkeling or diving are located between the islands and in numerous quiet bays. Marina Park is also home to other impressive marine life such as hawksbill and leatherback turtles, hammerhead sharks, whitetip reef sharks, manta rays and dolphins. Bullhead whales calve just offshore from August to November, showcasing their breathtaking size and beauty.

Boca Chica, a small fishing village on the mainland, your boat will take you to the often deserted island paradises. At Boca Chica, several rivers flow into the sea, creating a labyrinth of mangroves. The mangroves are the perfect place to observe birds and reptiles on a tour in a kayak. Across the bay from Boca Chica is Boca Brava, a large island with abundant biodiversity, several hiking trails and white sand beaches. Some of the park's most beautiful islands are further out. These include San José Island, Bolaños Island, Gámez Island and Parida Island. Most of these islands can be reached by boat in just one hour.
